 | The Fortune Teller's Daughter, Susan Wilson |
I have a weakness for both mystical stories and interesting names- and Susan Wilson pulls through on both for me.
I expected for this to be just a candy book since I pulled it last minute from the best seller shelf before getting on a plane. I was suprised to fall pretty much completely into it and needed to finish it before going to bed that evening.
The main character grows up as a traveler and looks forward to finding her own home. Predictably, she falls for a man who just wants to leave Moose River Junction (a name screaming for a Lifetime movie) behind.
The intrigue for me came in two places. First, I was interested in the main character's acceptance of her gifts and her exploration of a cities hidden past. Second, I enjoyed a love story with two characters who were imperfect but understandably drawn to eachother for more than physical reasons.
The names?
